Some dates and events for your diary:
This Sunday (September 21st) as part of the Heritage Open Days Programme the Bradford Synagogue (7 Bowland Street BD1 3BW) is open from 14.00 – 15.00 and this is a unique chance to see Yorkshire’s oldest purpose built synagogue.
At 15.00 there is a guided walk lasting 90 minutes around Manningham on the subject of ‘the Jewish Women of Bradford’ in line with the theme this year for Heritage Open Days. The cost for the walk is £5.
The Bradford Literature Festival takes place from the 26th to the 28th off September. For the full programme visit www. bradfordliteraturefestival.co. uk.
On Sunday September 28th there is a walk starting at 14.30 from the Bradford Synagogue entitled ‘Jewish Writers and Artists’ . This is followed at 16.00 by a Sacred Poetry Event.
